20 Weeks

I am a few days late posting this one, but these pictures were taken Tuesday night. Its unbelievable that we are halfway done!

I had a doctor's appointment last Friday. It was with the nurse practitioner. She said everything looked great on the ultrasound and I wouldn't need a repeat. She gave me some homework:

1. If we want to take any classes, we should sign up now cause they fill up fast.

2. Find a pediatrician and schedule a "meet and greet" appointment.

3. Pre-register for the hospital.

It's crazy to think that we are far along enough to start thinking about these things.

At the appointment the nurse was trying to listen to the heartbeat, but she she kept moving around. It was funny cause I thought the movements were big enough that you could probably see them. The nurse laughed and said it that at this stage they are all over the place. So, that night I went home and sure enough when I was laying down I could see her move around. Luke saw it too. I think its finally starting to hit home that there is really something growing in there.

19 Weeks

Well, I must be starting to show for real now because I have had 3 different people congratulate me and ask when I am due in the past few days. I am glad I am finally getting past that "is she getting fat or is she pregnant" phase. Haha. I keep laughing to myself at all the people that are still too afraid at work to ask me if I am. I guess its to that point that I should maybe make some sort of formal announcement for the rest of the people that I haven't told.

She has been wiggling around like crazy. I have been feeling her for a few weeks now, but her movements are getting stronger and more frequent. Its fun because Luke can occasionally feel her too.

Well, only one more week and I will be half way there. Crazy!

It's a GIRL!

On Friday we had our big ultrasound. She was being a little shy and stubborn, but the tech was determined to find out what she was for us. She was able to check a few different times from a few different angles and was fairly confident it was a girl. She said everything else looks great and right on target. Our little one was really active, it was fun to see her moving around.

So, now it's time to come up with a name.
